Removing solder by adhesion is one of the most popular, simplest, and fastest ways to remove solder from printed circuit boards or other densely packed components. This method is also ideal for desoldering SMD.

Simply apply a piece of the braid to the solder, heat it with a soldering iron, and then remove it with tweezers or an IC popper.

The thin layer of rosin covering the desoldering tape makes the braid resistant to oxidation. The high absorption properties are due to the copper weave. The desoldering tape wound on the spool is 1.5 m long.
