The OPTICUM W-20 amplifier is used whenever the signal from an outdoor antenna (not equipped with an amplifier) reaching the receiver is too weak, resulting in a choppy or fading picture.These symptoms are usually caused by: the antenna being too far from the transmitter, natural obstacles (hills, trees), tall buildings between the transmitter and the antenna, or splitting the antenna signal among multiple TV sets.
