What is NHOU® MOUSE-OUT?
MOUSE-OUT is NHOU® rodent-deterrent technology developed to discourage mice and other rodents from entering, nesting in or damaging treated vehicle and equipment areas.
Does the product also protect against rust?
Yes. It combines MOUSE-OUT functionality with transparent oil-based corrosion protection for suitable metal surfaces.
Does it change the appearance of treated metal?
The coating is transparent and intended for applications where the original surface colour and appearance should remain visible.
Does MOUSE-OUT kill rodents?
No. It is a deterrent intended to discourage rodent activity rather than poison or trap animals.
Can it guarantee that rodents will stay away?
No deterrent can guarantee complete protection in every environment. Regular inspection, cleaning, food-source removal and appropriate pest-control measures remain important.
Can it be sprayed directly on vehicle wiring?
Apply only to suitable accessible areas and follow the product label. Avoid saturating connectors, sensors, terminals, air intakes and components where an oil coating is not permitted.
Can it be applied over existing rust?
It may be applied to lightly rusted metal after loose rust, scale, grease, dirt and contamination have been removed. Inspect and prepare the surface before application.
Does the aerosol require a compressor or spray gun?
No. The 400ml aerosol can is ready for direct application and does not require separate spray equipment.

Application Guide
How it goes on
Inspect the treatment area
Identify corrosion-prone metal, accessible cavities and locations showing evidence of rodent activity.
Address existing rodents
Remove nesting material and resolve active infestations before applying a preventative coating.
Prepare the surface
Remove mud, dust, grease, loose rust, flaking material and other contamination.
Protect surrounding parts
Mask brakes, friction surfaces, tyres, exhaust components, belts, air intakes and areas where an oil coating is unsuitable.
Shake thoroughly
Shake the aerosol can well before use and periodically during application.
Spray evenly
Hold the can approximately 15–20 cm from the surface and apply using smooth, controlled passes.
Treat vulnerable areas
Apply to accessible seams, joints, cavities and surrounding metal areas where corrosion or rodent damage may occur.
Avoid electrical connections
Do not saturate connectors, sensors, terminals or components unless application is expressly permitted by the equipment manufacturer.
Inspect periodically
Check treated areas regularly and reapply where cleaning, wear or environmental exposure has reduced the coating.
