Key features

controlled charger for 18650/20700/21700/26650 Li
ion cells with power bank function; three
efficiency converter—92% efficiency, magnetic cover for the charging compartment, powered via USB Type-C QC 3.0 and PD 3.0—(power adapter not included)Protections: thermal, short
circuit, and reverse battery insertion. Hidden within a compact housing is a fully professional microprocessor
based charger with a power bank function and a three
stage TC/CC/CV charging process. It charges 3.6 / 3.7V Li
ion cells of any capacity in the 18650 / 20700 / 21700 / 26650 sizes. A smart built
in balancer controls the charging and discharging processes. This significantly extends the service life of the cells. The charger always starts by charging the more discharged cell. Once both batteries reach a similar charge level, it begins charging both simultaneously. The same process applies during discharge. The charger begins discharging the more fully charged cell first; once the charge levels are equalized, it begins discharging both batteries simultaneously (power bank function). What is the TC/CC/CV charging method? It is a three
stage charging process for Li
ion cells that ensures the cells remain in good condition by charging them with the appropriate current at each stage and terminating the charging process at the right time. The individual stages of the TC/CC/CV process are as follows: - TC phase: Cells discharged below 2.9V are “woken up” with a lower current.- CC phase: Once 2.9V is reached, the cell is charged with a constant current of 2x2A / 2x1A / 1x2A.- CV phase: When the cell is nearly fully charged, the charger switches to charging with a decreasing current until the cell reaches a voltage of 4.2V. Once 4.2 V is reached, the charging process is complete—the battery is fully charged. Batteries with a voltage of 4.1 V or higher are considered charged by the charger. To fully recharge such a battery, insert it into the charger before plugging it in. Charged batteries left in the charger will undergo a natural self
discharge process. Charging will resume when the battery voltage drops below 4.1V. The Xtar PB2S charger features a function to revive deeply discharged cells and cells with a voltage of 0V. Many chargers on the market are unable to charge such batteries. This is where the Xtar PB2S charger comes in, as it can often “rescue” such cells. Simply insert the deeply discharged battery into the PB2S charger, just as you would for normal charging—the charger will detect the discharged cell and attempt to reactivate it.Warning! Cells discharged below a certain level suffer irreversible damage, and reactivation may not be possible. Avoid over
discharging Li
ion batteries—this can significantly reduce their lifespan and capacity or render them completely inoperable. Chargers from other manufacturers may significantly increase the temperature of the cells being charged. Excessive heating of the cells can cause them to wear out more quickly. When designing the PB2S charger, Xtar went a step further than the competition by solving this problem in a simple way: it uses power from an external power supply. Thanks to this, the temperature of a battery being charged in the PB2S will rise by no more than 15 degrees. The Xtar PB2S charger comes with a USB Type-C cable. A power adapter is not included in the set. Any charger with a USB port—such as a phone charger or a computer with a free USB port—is sufficient to power the charger. A charger supporting QC3.0 / PD3.0 is recommended to take full advantage of the charger’s capabilities. It is possible to use a charger with a lower power rating, but in that case, the charging time will be longer.Product details: Manufacturer: Xtar Charger model: PB2S Supported battery types: 3.6–3.7V Li
